I think you should write about the classical forms of citizenship we have had as planned, but with slightly less depth than you would have originally planned. After you write one article or section that talks about the classic form of citizenship at the end, you can have a brief paragraph that talks about what they’re planning on doing instead. This isn’t exactly an option that you stated, but it combines everything so that people can get better understanding, without it having to be double the work.
